Jessica A. Lewis

Jessica A. Lewis is a dedicated community advocate and experienced leader with a career rooted in service, empowerment, and inclusion. She has spent more than a decade working to advance equity and improve the quality of life for underserved populations across Louisiana.

Most recently, Jessica served as the Homelessness Prevention Director in the Office of Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, where she led initiatives to reduce housing insecurity and strengthen access to critical resources for individuals and families in need. Prior to that role, she worked with a local nonprofit organization supporting the homeless community and spent 12 years addressing disability-related issues, including six years as Executive Director of a program within the Governor’s Office of Disability Affairs.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Southern University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. Her leadership and advocacy have been recognized through several honors, including the Region 6 Award from the National Council on Independent Living and the 2023 She Leads Louisiana Award.

A passionate believer in the power of collaboration and community engagement, Jessica’s dedication stems from her own volunteerism and lived experiences working alongside diverse groups across the state. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys going to church and spending time with her family and friends.
